Pre-Apprenticeships
Pre-Apprenticeship programs provide students with the basic skills and knowledge needed to work in an industry setting. Successful completion of pre-apprenticeship training can greatly increase your chances of gaining an apprenticeship in your chosen field. These programs are highly regarded by employers, who believe that they give students a high level of knowledge, skills and task awareness and also show that they are focussing on that particular industry.
Some pre-apprenticeship programs may give you credit towards the first year of your apprenticeship, possibly shortening your overall training period. Pilbara TAFE offers pre-apprenticeship programs in areas including:
- AUR10105 (W198/WS99) Certificate I in Automotive Pre Apprenticeship (Mechanical - Vehicle Servicing - Light Automotive) – Karratha and Pundulmurra
- MEM10105 (W231) Certificate I in Engineering – Karratha, Minurmarghali Mia and Pundulmurra.
