Aboriginal Collection
This extensive collection incorporates books and audio-visual material covering topics such as: dictionaries, biographies, literature, history, celebrities and art.
Language Collection
This collection contains resources for English speakers and for learners of English as a second language. The collection includes taped books kits, teaching theory, practice books, CD ROMs, cassettes and videos, short stories at graded reading levels. It is located along the back wall of the library.
- Learning languages other than English includes: German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Indigenous languages, Thai, Vietnamese, Malay and Indonesian
- Books in languages other than English includes: Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Farsi, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Tamil and Thai
Parenting Collection
The parenting collection includes books, DVD’s and videos covering all aspects of raising happy children – from infants to teens. Some of the subjects covered include: pregnancy, breastfeeding, naming baby, recipe books, sleeping, potty training and discipline. It is situated next to the junior books so that you can easily browse the shelves without leaving your children’s sight.
Pilbara Collection
The Pilbara Collection covers a range of topics concerning the Pilbara, its history and pioneers, environment and industry.
Staff Resources
This collection is primarily audio visual material for the sole use of TAFE staff. It covers a broad range of subjects including safety in the workplace, interview and time management skills, supervision and technical skills.
