Hand picked team appointed at TAFE

Pilbara TAFE has appointed an elite team of Principal Lecturers to oversee quality training at the college.

Carolyn Cleal, Mollie Kavanagh and Shana Gelin will play a key role in implementing new initiatives and ensuring Pilbara TAFE is at the forefront of academic delivery and assessment.

All three appointees have a thorough understanding of the college and its business, having worked as lecturers in key areas over the past few years.

Managing Director, Barry McKnight, said the new team will focus on mentoring and supporting teaching staff at each campus.

"Our recent quality audit showed we have undertaken a process of true quality improvement. The College has been re-registered until 2013 so we’ll continue to build on our success."

"This is the time to capitalise on that progress and embed those systems firmly into everyday practice so we provide our clients with the best possible product and service."

Barry also congratulated another local, Alison Traine, on her new role as Manager Quality, Planning and Training Systems.

"With a fresh approach, stronger tactics and an excellent leadership team in place, I am confident that Pilbara TAFE will continue to play a major role in the region’s prosperity."
