AMPHITHEATRE RENTAL

The Rental Fee includes only basic stage lighting and basic sound systems. Any additional equipment will incur additional fees. Please refer to “Equipment Hire List” for options or call the Theatre Technician on 08 9159 6861.  
Toilet facilities are available in the Theatre Foyer and Administration Blocks.  

FOYER RENTAL

BASIC CHARGE

Hourly rate includes basic cleaning, lighting and power. $29/hour, min. 3 hours
Easels and hanging boards by arrangement. $115.00/day
PLUS any wages for Theatre Staff requested.  
Provision of chairs and sound system etc by arrangement with the Theatre Manager/Theatre Technician  
EXHIBITION AND SALES OF GOODS – Exhibitors are responsible for insurance and security of all goods and equipment located at the Theatre.  

TICKETING

BOOKING FEES 10% of value of ticket, plus GST. For example, booking fee of $2.00 on a $20.00 ticket plus 10% GST = total of $2.20.
CANCELLATION OR REFUND FEES
Charge in addition to Booking Fees.
$2 per ticket
CREDIT CARD CHARGES 3% of value of tickets purchased by credit card/EFTPOS (at the discretion of the Theatre Manager)
TICKET SETS
Where a hirer wishes to sell the tickets themselves.

PIANO HIRE

Piano Tuning is the responsibility of the Hirer and should be requested. Tuning will be at the Hirer’s expense.  

RED CARPET

to cover from one edge of stage to other 12m x 1.5m $145.00/day

PROGRAMS AND MERCHANDISE

COMMISSION 10% of the GST exclusive price plus GST

A program and merchandise seller can be provided at the request of the hirer. Wages will be charged to the Hirer, or Hirers may provide their own seller

WAGES AND STAFFING REQUIREMENTS

The Walkington Theatre is staffed by three full time positions, 2 FOH and 1 technician. Casual staff are employed as required. Ushering and bar work is staffed by volunteers who are members of Friends of The Theatre.

Where deemed necessary, extra professional staff will be rostered and charged back to the hirer at the discretion of the Theatre Manager. Wages will be charged out for all times attended or worked on behalf of the hirer, whether by full time or casual Walkington Theatre staff.

WAGE RATES PER STAFF MEMBER Head Tech: $50 p/hour
Casual Techs: $35.00 p/hr
MINIMUM STAFFING REQUIREMENTS

FREIGHT COSTS

Any freight costs incurred by or on behalf of the hirer will be charged out to the hirer.

ENTERTAINMENT COSTS/RIDERS

Entertainment costs, including meals and drinks etc, requested by or on behalf of the Hirer, will be charged back to the hirer.
